10 Questions With Jeff Bedard (by Darrick Patrick)
Jeff "Little Popeye" Bedard is a professional mixed martial artist who has appeared in organizations such as World Extreme Cagefighting, International Sport Combat Federation, Full Throttle, and February Fight Party. At the time of this very short interview, his next scheduled match is against Shawn Klarcyk at PFC 12: High Stakes on January 22nd, 2009.
Darrick: What was the path that led you to professional mixed martial arts competition?
Jeff: Wrestling is the route that I took in moving towards competing professionally.
Darrick: Any words of advice for other individuals looking to compete in MMA?
Jeff: Make sure that you get with good coaches and training partners.
Darrick: Who are a few of the people in the sport that you highly respect?
Jeff: Sean Sherk, Randy Couture, Brian Bowles, Urijah Faber, and really all fighters that train hard.
Darrick: Your next scheduled match is against Shawn Klarcyk on January 22nd. What are your thoughts about this upcoming fight?
Jeff: It is a great opportunity and I plan on having a good time fighting for this PFC World Title.
Darrick: Who are some of the people that greatly influenced you while growing up?
Jeff: My father, brothers, and my high school wrestling coach.
Darrick: What brings you the most fulfillment out of martial arts?
Jeff: Being able to test your skills against another trained athlete.
Darrick: Outside of MMA, what are your other interests?
Jeff: Mainly just coaching high school wrestling.
Darrick: What comic book character do you relate to most?
Jeff: I don't really know on this particular question.
Darrick: Tell us something about you that most people don't know.
Jeff: I love kids and like working with them a lot.
Darrick: What is your oldest memory?
Jeff: Hmmm...I can't remember!
