10 Questions With Norman Paraisy (by Darrick Patrick)
Norman Paraisy is a professional mixed martial artist who has competed in organizations such as Bellator Fighting Championships, M-1 Global, Greatest Common Multiple, Fighting Marcou Challenge, X-Combat Ultra Mixed Martial Arts, Strength and Honor Championship, Shoot & Sprawl, Fighters Hive, Ultimate Force, Intense Fighting, and Minotauro Fights. At the time of this short interview, his next scheduled match is against Jack Mason in the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship at CWFC 43 on July 9th, 2011.
Darrick: What was the journey that led you to professional mixed martial arts competition?
Norman: I had always participated in sports as a kid. I was like most of the other teenagers out there though during my teenage years, without any goals. Martial arts gave me a focus in life.
Darrick: Who is someone in the sport that you highly respect?
Norman: Rogério "Minotoro" for is heart, his generosity, and his determination.
Darrick: Your next scheduled fight is against Jack Mason on July 9th. What are your thoughts about this upcoming match?
Norman: I am very happy and excited to fight in a big show like Cage Warriors. Especially against a fighter like Jack Mason.
Darrick: What brings you the most fulfillment out of martial arts?
Norman: I guess the feeling it gives me of being alive and healthy.
Darrick: Who is a person that greatly influenced you while growing up?
Norman: My mother, for sure. She has always been like a guardian angel to me.
Darrick: Do you have any words of advice for other individuals looking to compete in MMA?
Norman: Have a good entourage of people around you and always believe in yourself.
Darrick: Outside of mixed martial arts, what are your other interests?
Norman: I am a social worker in the streets. In life, I am on the street until midnight every day doing social work such as helping kids and people who encounter difficulty in their lives.
Darrick: If you had three wishes, what would they be?
Norman: I only have two wishes and I'd be satisfied. The first one is that eating pizza and ice cream made you lose weight. The second wish is that everybody could live together in peace.
Darrick: Tell us something about you that most people don't know.
Norman: I enjoy going to the zoo to watch the animals.
Darrick: What is your oldest memory?
Norman: Eating my boogers! (Laughs)
