How about having a full-on mixed martial arts that includes:

1. Sword-fighting - perhaps use kendo and western fencing.

2. Pistol - use simunitions

3. Espionage and position Counter-Espionage.

4. (Insert your combat art)

.... all this can be done with teams, with each member specializing in one aspect, but proficient in all.

That would be an interesting event but wouldn't be "Mixed Martial Arts" that most people would associate.

Actually, the weapons thing is an interesting concept because there are always controversial arguements between TMA (traditional martial arts) people vs. MMA where MMA guys always claim that TMA is useless because they don't do so well in MMA events.

Well, I would like to see how an MMA guy would do against TMA trained in weapons.

its a good idea... like a high breed fighter/player.

its hard and only rare individual can do that i guess.
