The fighter salary information for the EliteXC and Strikeforce co-promoted show from March 29 was released by the California State Athletic Commission on Tuesday.
The following figures are based on the fighter salary information that promoters are required by law to submit to the state athletic commissions, including the winners' bonuses.
Although MMA fighters do not have collective bargaining or a union, the fighters' salaries are still public record, just as with every other major sport in the United States. Any undisclosed bonuses that a promoter also pays its fighters are not included in the figures below.
In the listings below, " Main Event Fighters" are defined as fighters who compete in the main event of a show. "Main Card Fighters" are defined as fighters whose fights appear on the main card, but not in title fights or in the main event. "Preliminary Match Fighters" are defined as fighters whose matches take place before the live broadcast goes on the air, regardless of whether or not those matches end up airing on the TV broadcast.
Also, all athletes on the card were tested for drugs of abuse and came back clean. The results for any performance enhancement drugs or masking agents are still pending at this time.
The live gate earned $1,117, 855 with a paid attendance of 14,710 and 482 exempt passes. The total attendance was 15,192.

Anybody watch this show on HDnet? (Owned by Mark Cuban) They have Bas Ruten as the main host and invite 3 other panelists each show, that includes fighters, referees, columnists, etc. Pretty good show, quite unbiased. Sometimes shows the entire fight highlights, except for UFC. (They only show still images) If you get this channel, you gotta check it out.
Since GSP lost the belt to an overwhelming underdog in Matt Serra, he's dying to get his belts back. His last opponent was another up and coming welterweight, Josh Koscheck, who everybody believed would out wrestle GSP but to everyone's surprise, GSP dominated Josh at his own game, instead of keeping the fight standing up. Matt Hughes gets the next shot at the belt in December. Who should GSP fight next? Does he have to have another fight before he gets the title shot or is he the automatic contender that he should get the winner of Serra vs. Hughes?
I know this is MMA site and we are all fans of MMA but my other passion is football, especially NFL. Anybody else watch the Pats vs. Colts yesterday? That was a heck of a game. How did the Vegas odds makers know that it was going to only 4 point game by setting the spread at 4 1/2 points? Anyway, I'm rooting for the Packers to win it all this year as it might be Brett's last year.
