Oh yeah. He's on point right now. My fingers are crossed that the UFC will eventually throw a catchweight fight between him and Anderson Silva.
They both have to get through their next opponents first, Silva with Griffin and GSP with the winner of Swick and Kampmann. GSP is at disadvantage with his smaller normal weight though.
Heheh, happy to hear it. Been a bit busy outside of the internet the last two months and it's felt like I haven't been cranking them out at my usual pace. Pretty close to breaking 200!
Well, Lyoto's fight at the last UFC was incredible. I'm going to have to watch it again because a buddy of mine pointed out that Dana White said Rashad only landed two strikes. If Machida and Anderson keep up their winning ways, they'll be lined up against each other down the road. Highly looking forward to possibly seeing that.
As for fighters I always tend to root for: I really like Kenny Florian a lot. Fedor Emelianenko of course is up there. I love watching Shinya Aoki work his submissions. Jon Jones is a super exciting up-and-comer. Looking forward to finally seeing Amir Sadollah fight again. Miguel Torres is the king of his weight class and always pumps out killer matches. Man, there's just so many quality fighters that I try to follow that I don't even know where to go from there.
Doing all the interviews and such, I try to stay up on EVERYBODY. And there are thousands of professional fighters anymore, so it spreads me a bit thin at times.
Machida has fought 17 rounds in UFC and has never lost a round and never been hurt and never been in bad position (maybe except for that near arm bar against Tito in the 3rd round)
Same can't be said of Anderson Silva, as dominant as he has been, he lost round to Travis Lutter fight and lost round to Dan Henderson fight, although he ended up winning both at the end.
